New Observations in Material Science of Amorphous Solid Dispersions
A large fraction of pharmaceutical products are administered as solids, with a growing interest in amorphous solid dispersions. This talk will focus on the material science of amorphous solid dispersion solids with a specific emphasis on their physical characterization, and new methods for detecting solid state stability during early prescreening investigations. This webinar will give guidance on how to investigate early evidence of crystallinity and instability to steer fundamental guidance on the stability and formulation of ASDs.
Key Learnings:
- Fundamentals of local and global molecular mobility in ASDs and the implications on solid-state stability
- The possibilities for predicting stability through high resolution, accelerated, and rapid assessment strategies
